We completed a new web site for local business Beautiful Gardens (www.beautifulgardens.co.uk) in March 2009. It took several years for business owner Simon Roberts to take the plunge and invest in a powerful content managed web site. He now has a forum for keeping his customers up to date with developments in his company and to inform potential customers about his full range of services. We have worked with Simon to create a web design suitable for his business and within 4 weeks he had picked up an order worth more than twice the cost of his web site.
It is important to see a web site as a business investment and in conjunction with search engine optimization we can help your business to make you more money and to easilly recover the cost of the web site in the first place.
Blogs can be a useful tool to keep your customers up to date with current trends as well the latest news from your company. This however achieves nothing unless it is genuine and done frequently. This is laughable in my case since my last blog was in February.
As we have been traversing through the realms of SEO, we have encountered some interesting aspects about domain names. For the purposes of SEO it is important to try to ensure your main keywords are contained in it. For example, a customer has recently bought lichfieldhomesandgardens.co.uk. This is a good domain for SEO as it contains their main search terms.
In fact as you surf the web you may notice this increasingly. This is against what was happening a few years back which was a trend towards ever shorter domain names. For example a client WDP were unable to obtain the dot com and instead opted for wdp.tv. When it became apparent that this was not much good for SEO they rebranded as Angel Paintball Sports, buying the dot com of the same name.
My point is that the two ways of thinking are now starting to come together since long domains are a drag to keep typing, so people are using the long name for their main name and submitting this to google and then a shorter name, often an acronym for email.
Feel free to call us to discuss your domain name requirements. We can supply many different extensions at competitive prices and help you make good choices with regard to SEO.
We all get them, sales calls... They phone up, tell you how great they are, you say you're not interested, they then proceed to convince you otherwise... well today that didn't happen, instead quite the opposite...
is it just me, or do JavaScript errors seem to be on the increase?
even some high profile sites have some pretty obvious errors.. take the dell support login page for example...
